Mechanical Mirror

This project explores how perception and reflection can be translated into mechanical form. Instead of relying on glass or a digital screen, the mirror uses a grid of servo-driven tiles that rotate between two contrasting surfaces, producing a low-resolution but dynamic abstraction of its surroundings. A Raspberry Pi camera continuously analyzes the visual field and determines which tiles should flip from light to dark, allowing the installation to capture movement and silhouettes in real time.
